Jeremy introduced several things we will try cover over the semester, he also mentioned the medium we will be using, Crysis. Crysis hasn’t been used for a collaboration studio in previous years, hence Jeremy and Graham’s understanding for the editor is quite limited, and this means that we will need to take on a lot of initiative ourselves i.e. lots and lots of tutorials, YouTube videos and forums etc...
The next big thing was choosing our groups, since this was done by picking a number out of a hat; we had no control over who we would be grouped with. This idea was to enhance the notion of collaboration. I must admit, this worried me a lot! I really didn’t want to be in a group which was able to function properly. Fortunately, I was allocated to a group that would seem to develop a comfortable work relationship. The members are:
Alichia van Rhijn – 3rd year Architectural Computing student
Kenneth Hui – 3rd year Architectural Computing student
Cameron Hallam – 3rd year Architectural Computing student
We managed to introduce ourselves quickly and establish our strengths and weaknesses. I have to say I was quite pleased with our group, we did seem to be one of the stronger groups, and we all agreed that we would try to aim for High Distinctions! We also managed to name our team....
